So many books, so little time! Here I share some of my favorite books of poetry and about poetry. As a classroom teacher, I appreciated the many paths in to teaching poetry provided by writers including Kenneth Koch, Lee Bennett Hopkins, Georgia Heard, Paul Janeczko, and so many others.
Rose, Where Did You Get That Red? by Kenneth Koch, was one of the first books I used to teach kids about writing in their own voices.
