The Cocoa-Gelato Tree
A Cardinal Royal Mountain Ash
is cool enough for me
even though I kinda wish
it was a cocoa-gelato tree.
It’s great when I taste its budding branches
in the magical hatching of spring
that it’s almost certain my brain won’t freeze
(that’s a cocoa-gelato thing).
